"Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
How do you feel about nature? People engage with nature in a multitude of ways. Nature can offer solace, peace, protection, sustenance, entertainment, healing and much more. Whether we are enjoying nature or bringing small pieces of it into our homes.
Nature is many things to me. All of my senses are alive when I am in nature and it is the one place mindfulness comes almost effortlessly to me.
If you are working in a journal this week use it to further explore your relationship with nature. What types of nature do you prefer? Are you engaging or observing...or both? Explore how nature is a part of your world. Use words and/or imagery. Create an expression that you can look back on in times when you may not have access to the great world we live on.
Journaling is an ideal place to honor your process. Let yourself be mindful. Listen to your body, mind and spirit. During the process take care of your needs. Take breaks if you need to.
This journal prompt focuses on the environmental dimension of wellness, although for me it also impacts others depending on what type of nature I am experiencing. If I am out for a walk with a friend it will also impact my social wellness and physical wellness...you get the picture :)
