For some, the word decolonization is intimidating and scary. Today’s culture is full of systems that have been created by those in power. Many folks do not realize how colonized thinking is deeply embedded into our daily lives. It's in our language, cultural practices, work systems, social expectations - colonization shadows each of us in some way. For some it provides privilege and for others oppression.
